  • Trailer Online

Heritage Ambassadors from Dunn Street, Seaview and Harton Primary schools have been finding out about the history of theatres in South Shields. After a heritage walk, an archive session and visit to The Customs House each school nominated a group of young people interested in sharing what they learned. Find out more about theatres in South Shields through this short presentation of playful animations made with Sheryl Jenkins. Hear about the Pier Pavilion, Empire Palace and Theatre Royal on King Street and of course The Customs House.
Recommended for friends and families of the children of Dunn Street, Seaview and Harton Primary Schools.
This project has been supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund. The Customs House wishes to thank players of the National Lottery
Tickets are free and we will collect donations after the event. Your donations support The Customs House’s work with children and young people.
