Keep Your Kids Happy This Summer
Published: 21st July 2017
Keeping the kids busy over the summer is that bit easier thanks to The Customs House. You might have spotted Mini and Mega Makers in The Shields Gazette, to read more click here. Mini Makers and Mega Makers are fun arty sessions taking place throughout the summer holidays. These sessions are excellent value at just £2 per child.
On Monday 24th July, in our first Mini Maker session (for children 12 and under with their grown ups) we are going to create our own imaginative instruments. We will use a range of art materials to sculpt, build and draw our own orchestra. We are certain the session will go with a bang, whistle and pop! Mini Makers runs from 11am to 2pm and you can stay as long as you like. You can book tickets online or on the day at the box office.
On Wednesday 26th July our NEW group Mega Makers will face their next creative challenge. Challenges are designed to last two hours. Mega Makers runs from 2pm to 4pm. These are suited to children aged 11 to 13 years. Youngsters can enjoy making their own rockstar photographic portraits. Mega Makers are encouraged to bring their own props to take the perfect snap. We use these photos to create our own hall of fame! Remember grown ups aren’t allowed at Mega Makers it’s kids only.
