We are seeking a Stage Technician to assist the Technical Manager at our highly successful and busy venue in the daily running, programming and technical maintenance of our Theatre and other areas of the organisation.  As we enter 2020, we have a comprehensive schedule of productions to deliver so there has never been a better time to join our dynamic and skilled team of professionals. Working with professional companies, hirers and in-house productions, this post is responsible for all technical support within The Customs House.

We are looking for a multi-skilled Technician to ensure a smooth running, efficient and safe working environment for all staff and visiting companies, to assist with building maintenance and to strive to offer the best possible service to all users of The Customs House.

You should have a passion for helping to design lighting for shows as well as experience of operating and setting up lighting and sound equipment in a professional environment. Experience of working within a technical department of a busy theatre venue as well as experience of working with amateur organisations and touring companies is essential.

With a proven track record of practical competence in Theatre production, you should have an understanding of effective customer care and must have a willingness to work unsocial hours and be flexible in terms of your availability. Being a good team player with excellent communication and organisational skills are also a must for this role.

This role is being offered on a 6 month fixed term contract.
