International Film Producer Helps Young Talent
Published: 22nd September 2017
The Customs House’s resident young filmmakers received an exciting visit from international film producer, Steve Bowden, this week as part of their latest project.
Steve Bowden, who has 25 years experience in the film and television industries, founded Vita Nova Films in 2006 with offices in Newcastle and London. In 2016 the Vita Nova co-production The Carer was released around the world. The film stars Brian Cox (Braveheart) and Anna Chancellor (Four Weddings and a Funeral) and was filmed in the UK with a Hungarian director.
As part of Steve’s visit to The Customs House, he helped our filmmakers develop their new comedy film idea and explained the things they have to consider when developing and making the film.
Filmmaking at The Customs House takes place each Thursday from 5 to 7pm, and is suitable for 13 to 19 year olds with tickets costing just £3.50 each week. For more information or to join the group, contact Daniel on 0191 427 8193 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
