The Chloe & Liam Together Forever Trust will be supporting The Customs House with Takeover 2024.

The Takeover Festival, a cornerstone event in The Customs House’s annual calendar, is a celebration of creativity and talent among young people. The festival is a week-long arts engagement and leadership program, which is produced, planned, and delivered by a diverse team of 13-18 year olds. These young leaders are recruited from various backgrounds and work collaboratively to create a vibrant program of events during May half term. The initiative has gained recognition, winning a Special Award for Young Achievement at The Journal Culture Awards in 2021.

The Chloe & Liam Together Forever Trust, known for its commitment to inspiring and supporting individuals to reach their full potential in sports and performance, recognises the importance of The Takeover as a catalyst for empowering young people in North East England.

The Trust’s generous funding will enable The Customs House to elevate the Takeover Festival to new heights, creating a vibrant platform for emerging artists and performers.

The Trust said, “The Chloe & Liam Together Forever Trust are delighted to be supporting this event we are a charity who look to help in both sport and performance and therefore this fits perfectly and we are very excited to attend and get involved in the week wherever we can.”.

The programme’s impact extends beyond the Festival, as evidenced by the remarkable career development of creatives involved. Actors have secured representation, a BBoy was competing in the Red Bull BC One cypher and a lead facilitator is set to be appointed as a Virgin Money Foundation Young Changemaker.

“We are incredibly honoured and grateful to receive this funding from the Chloe and Liam Together Forever Trust. The Takeover Festival is a vital platform for young artists to showcase their talents and creativity, and this support will enable us to make the Festival even more impactful and inclusive.”,” said Andrew Walker, Creative Engagement Producer at The Customs House.

The Chloe & Liam Together Forever Trust is excited about the positive impact this collaboration will have on the lives of young people in North East, fostering a lifelong relationship with the arts and supporting their journey to success.
