Can You Help Support The Customs House Through The Shutdown?

Published: 24th March 2020

In light of most recent Government measures to control the spread of Covid -19 virus, The Customs House is temporarily closed.
As a charity, this enforced closure will have substantial long-term financial ramifications for The Customs House. With less than 10% of our resources coming from public funding, we rely heavily on our fantastic audiences and supporters to engage with what we do to allow us to continue to deliver our core mission statement of arts and entertainment for all; from buying tickets for a show to catching a film through to buying a coffee or becoming a Friend, every penny spent with The Customs House makes a massive difference to the whole organisation. We understand that the current climate is making life very difficult for everyone, we truly are living in unprecedented times, however, if you can afford to help support your local arts centre through the shutdown, there are a number of ways to get involved.

How to help: You can buy tickets for a future show, purchase a gift certificate, buy a heart, make a donation or become a friend on this website. Simply head back to the homepage by clicking HERE.

Donate by text: You can also text 1CUSTOMS to donate £1, 5CUSTOMS to donate £5, 10CUSTOMS to donate £10, 15CUSTOMS to donate £15 or 20CUSTOMS to donate £20 to 70085. Once you’be donated, you will receive a Gift Aid text prompt. Gift Aid increases the value of your donation by 25%, so it means even more money goes to The Customs House and it won’t cost you extra.

Texts cost donation amount plus one standard rate message and you’ll be opting in to hear more about our work. If you’d like to give but do not wish to receive marketing communications, text 1CUSTOMSNOINFO / 5CUSTOMSNOINFO / 10CUSTOMSNOINFO / 15CUSTOMSNOINFO / 20CUSTOMSNOINFO to 70085.

We’re remaining enthusiastic and positive that the situation will improve, and we look forward to welcoming you back to The Customs House very soon. In the meantime, please stay safe.

Thank you
