The Customs House is the regional strategic lead for Arts Award with Culture Bridge North East. We have supported hundreds of young people to achieve Arts Award at all five levels.

Learning Programme for Schools
We have a learning programme for schools offering a range of tours, workshops and projects that have Arts Award as an outcome at Discover and Explore Levels for Key Stages 1 to 3 across North and South Tyneside. These must be booked in advance and are charged for.

Resources and Staff
We have a range of bookable spaces at The Customs House for you to work on your portfolios or share your work with us (rehearsal and studio space). Opportunities for Children and Young People
We run a varied programme of events for young people in film, dance, and drama at The Customs House. We offer all young people that we work in Youth Theatre, Custom Reels and Arts Award Academy with the opportunity to do Arts Award, across five levels.
