We can offer building tours through the theatre, cinema and backstage areas for schools/ groups which will support Discover Part B, Explore Part B and Bronze Part B.
We also have a gallery which has a new exhibition every six weeks, and we can offer a gallery tour and talk on the exhibition.
Both of these options would be free, and are subject to our department’s availability.
We can arrange for your tour to be supplemented with a drama, film or visual arts workshop; this would be at an additional cost for practitioner time and materials. There are a number of options for this including an hour session, half-day or a full day of activities. We could also book you some space here for you to work on your portfolios after a visit (as we have a rehearsal space and studio). Please get in touch to enquire or if you have any questions: Fiona Kelly, Cultural Development Officer Fiona@customshouse.co.uk.
We run a varied programme of events for young people in film, dance, and drama at The Customs House; please see our website for more details: www.customshouse.co.uk . We offer all young people that we work with the opportunity to do Arts Award, and have trained advisers at all five levels.
The Customs House and freelance trainer/moderator Jane Gray are working on delivering the Arts Award Support offer.
Advisers can also go to the Support Pages on the Arts Award Website http://arts-support.trinitycollege.co.uk/course/view.php?id=50, where they can also request face-to-face support visits and remote support via skype/ email/ phone/ post.
The sessions are also in place to support centres' delivery and give ideas and tips:
