The Customs House is South Tyneside's premier arts centre offering great art and entertainment for all. Samba drumming is for everyone. It's fun, energising and addictive! We have classes for all ages and abilities. There is no need to book. Beginners are always welcome. Just come along on any Wednesday to start your samba journey!

Silver SingersDate: Wednesday 01 July - Monday 31 May
Time: 10.30am to 12noon every Wednesday

If you enjoy singing, meeting new people and are over fifty, why not come and join our singing group? We meet every Wednesday at the Customs House from 10.30am to 12noon, and it's only £2 per session.

Classes consist of foundation, top rocks, foot work, techs, power moves, styles and we regularly programme masterclasses with famous BBoys from all over the World. The sessions run from 6.30pm until 8.30pm and cost £2 per person.

Circus Zone ClubDate: Tuesday 04 November - Monday 31 May
Time: 4pm (every Tuesday)
Price: £2 or £1.50 when booked with a parent, grandparent or carer

The Customs House Youth TheatreDate: Friday 03 July - Monday 31 May
Time: 4.30pm-6.30pm
Price: Free
The Customs House Youth Theatre is open to all young people aged between 11 and 16 years old who have an interest in drama, improvisation, devising, and all aspects of theatre; including costume and make up, backstage and marketing. Currently, there are no places in the Youth Theatre, however please get in touch if you would like to be added to the waiting list.
