The Customs House is South Tyneside's premier arts centre offering great art and entertainment for all. Our website will give you all the information you need to book a show, visit the gallery or see a film. You can also get involved with our community activities including Samba Drumming, Hip Hop Dancing and Choral Singing. Customs Breaks Date: Tuesday 18 January - Tuesday 29 March
Time: 6pm-8pm (Every Tuesday)
Price: £3.50
Custom Breaks are a BBoy/BGirl Crew for young people aged 10 and over and sessions are led by P and Doke (Bad Taste Cru.) As well as learning break dance there are also opportunites to perform and to battle at The Customs House and across the region including Dance City (Just Jam 2009 and 2010), Eldon Square (Juice Festival 2010), and The Theatre Royal, Newcastle (Breakin' Convention 2009).
Due to the group reaching full capacity, it has been decided that Custom Breaks is not currently recruiting any more new members at the moment. The Customs House Youth TheatreDate: Tuesday 01 January - Saturday 31 December
Time: 4.30pm-6.30pm
Price: The Customs House Youth Theatre is open to all young people aged between 11 and 19 years old who have an interest in drama, improvisation, devising and acting. The Youth Theatre meet each Friday in term time and produce two original performances each year. There are two groups: Juniors for Years 7-9 (11 to 13 years) and Seniors for Years 10+(14-19 years)

Bollywood Dance ClassesDate: Saturday 09 January - Saturday 25 December
Time: 10am to 11am (every Saturday)
Price: £3 per class (discount on block bookings)
Looking for a great way to keep fit? Want to learn a new style of dance that is sweeping the country? If the answer is yes, then why not join us for our Bollywood Dance Classes?

Arts Award 1-2-1 Support SessionsDate: Monday 07 March - Monday 06 June

Price: £3.00 per session
Arts Award Advisors at The Customs House can offer Arts Awards support for young people to help to complete an Arts Award at Bronze, Silver and Gold Level. These are 1-2-1 sessions which you can arrange via email with Emma or Fiona and are priced at £3 per session. We can help you to complete your portfolio, arrange visits at our venue and partner venues, support you to become an arts leader and arrange moderation for you.

Time: 10.30am to 12 noon every Wednesday

If you enjoy singing, meeting new people and are over fifty, why not come and join The Sage Silver Singers group? Please note that the group will be leaving The Customs House moving to St Hilda's in South Shields in September meeting at 10.30am - 12 noon .
